LUCKY WESTON QUAD WINNER COLLECTS PRIZE

LUCKY WESTON QUAD WINNER COLLECTS PRIZE

The lucky winner of last year's Weston Beach Race Quad giveaway made the trip to Bristol International Airport today to pick up his Outlaw 90 youth Quad, which was kindly donated by Polaris UK.

Jon Harmer from Polaris UK was on hand to present Gary Benham with the Outlaw 90 youth Quad, with the presentation kicking off a two-day promotional event at Bristol International Airport to publicise this year's Weston Beach Race.

Gary's name was automatically entered into the prize draw after he competed in the over 40's class at last year's Weston Beach Race. The Aldershot resident was pleasantly surprised when he received the phone call to tell him he'd won, but he insisted on calling back to check he wasn't the victim of a wind up by his mates!

"When I got the phone call from Gareth Hockey, I was convinced it was some of my mates winding me up," said Gary. "I called Gareth back to double check, and he was most insistent that I'd won, so we arranged to come down to Bristol International Airport today to pick up the quad."

"I've never won anything before, so I'm well pleased with it. My whole family are into off-road riding, and I've a young nephew who will be very keen to get his hands on the quad as soon as we get it home. The fact that Polaris also supplied a kid's helmet and body armour means he'll be able to try it for size straight away. Like I said, I've never won anything before, but I'll definitely be entering this year's competition for the Polaris Youth Ranger RZR 170. Who knows, I might be fortunate again," concluded the lucky winner.

The Polaris Outlaw 90 is designed for use by youth riders aged between 12 and 16 years and features an automatic gearbox, with a reverse gear. Like all Polaris youth vehicles, the quad comes with a kid's helmet, a two-year warranty and the all-important whippy antenna and flag.

"Polaris UK have done us proud with the competition prize," commented Gareth Hockey, Director of RHL Activities. "The Outlaw 90 is an impressive piece of kit and Gary looked made up when he saw it for the first time today. This year Polaris UK has supplied us with a Youth Ranger RZR 170 as the main prize in the Weston Beach Race competition, which we'll be launching on Monday 21st September. All the details will be on the website and, like last year, the competition will be open to everyone."
